SAN DIEGO COPYWRITING PROCESS
Whether we’re doing a Brand Language Library, a video, or a website, the process is pretty much the same.
Brain dump
I send a questionnaire to get you thinking. Then we review during a video call. (I often find the magic comes out in conversation.) If there are any other websites or brands that you like for tone, send them my way.
Creative brief
We’ll develop a roadmap that articulates priorities in messaging, audience, etc. This helps us target our creative efforts more effectively.
Concept
We explore the direction creative will take. It might be a headline exercise or creative concepts for a web home page. You’ll review and I’ll revise.
Balance of writing
After initial concept is approved, I will write balance of copy.
Write and revise
You will provide feedback. I will make revisions. Feedback will be provided and another round of revisions as needed.
